NSAC Information

An Overview of NSAC

NSAC stands for the National Student Advertising Competition. The American Advertising Federation organizes the competition for colleges across the country.

Each year, NSAC creates a complete campaign for a specific client. Components from the winning campaign at the National NSAC Conference may even be implemented by the client.

Join NSAC!

This year, the client is The Century Council; our team will be creating a public service campaign aimed at fighting binge drinking. Applications are available to join BU's NSAC team.  Just download the application and turn it in by Friday, September 12 at 5:00pm to the envelope outside of COM 219B.  Good luck!

If you have any application-related questions, contact NSAC Executive Director Dmitriy Karfagenskiy.

A Brief NSAC History

2008-2009 marks BU's fifth entry into NSAC. In 2004-2005, the team prepared a campaign for Yahoo! and the following year for Postal Vault, a locking mailbox manufacturer. In 2006-2007, the client was Coca-Cola.  BU placed 4th in the region with a refreshing campaign.
Last year, the team came in a close 2nd place at the regional competition with a campaign for AOL Instant Messenger, helping to bridge traditional AIM with its new social media products.
